This delicious treat is so easy to make and is such a fun treat for everyone to enjoy! From the delicious vanilla ice cream to the homemade soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, this dessert is so good and easy to make. We love making this during the summer time to enjoy a cold dessert during the hot summer days.
INGREDIENTS-
All you need is just a few ingredients and you can have this chipwich ready in no time!
Cookies– For this sandwich you want to use chocolate chip cookies. We use our homemade cookie recipe and make 12-14 larger cookies, or make smaller cookies and smaller sandwiches. You can also use store-bought cookie dough or premade cookies.Ice Cream– Vanilla ice cream such as french vanilla, classic vanilla, or vanilla bean ice cream will all work.Chocolate Chips– For the best results, use mini chocolate chips. But you can use any chocolate chips you have on hand or even sprinkles!
HOW TO MAKE THE BEST CHIPWICH-
These cookie ice cream sandwiches are so easy to make and such a fun treat!
Cookies– Prepare the chocolate chip cookies according to package instructions. Once baked, allow the cookies to cool completely. Then freeze the cookies for about 10-15 minutes.Assemble– Lay half of the cookies upside down and scoop about 1-2 scoops of ice cream onto the cookie and then top with another cookie and push down to create a sandwich.Roll into Morsels– Add the chocolate chip morsels to a bowl and roll the cookie sandwich in the chocolate chips, allowing the morsels to stick to the morsels.Freeze– Freeze the cookie sandwiches until the ice cream freezes again and until you are ready to serve.
