Braided bread always looks so beautiful when served. Though I love a good traditional white Braided Loaf, this herbs and butter braid is not too far away. The added herbs and butter takes a traditional white bread loaf up a notch (or two, or three ?.) Don’t feel intimidated by making a homemade braided bread loaf. It truly is easy and not much can go wrong during the preparation or baking process.

How to make Braided Bread

Prepare the bread dough and allow to rise.Once bread rises, divide into three equal parts.Roll out each part.Generously spread butter and top with herbs, roll back tightly.Loosely braid the three strands.Allow braided loaf to rise, brush top with butter and garlic.Bake and ENJOY!

What kind of herbs should be used?

You can use any combination of herbs you like. Dill with cilantro, or dill with parsley or even all three. Whatever you have on hand.

How to mix the dough for braided bread?

The dough may either be mixed by hand or using the dough hook attachment on a KitchenAid mixer.
