Aonori (青のり, “green nori”) is dried finely chopped seaweed. It’s highly aromatic and adds a pleasant umami flavor to the dish. Sprinkle it over okonomiyaki, yakisoba, takoyaki, natto, rice bowls, ramen, or tofu. Check your teeth after the meal, as aonori is known to stick to your teeth!
